Wildflower Arrangement Competition

Wildflower Arrangement Competition at Anza Earth Day Fair. Welcome to the 10th annual Anza Earth Day Fair on April 22nd, 2017 where for the 4th time the High Country Conservancy Earth Day committee is hosting a wildflower arrangement competition.
Please enter your arrangement which can be made from native, locally grown organic materials such as weeds, flowering or not, twigs & fiber, leaves and foliage, flowers, grasses or any type of natural material your mind can conjure up to use. The containers must be eco-friendly, definitely not plastic.
The three categories for contestants are:
- A-Fresh cut,
- B-a mixture of dry & fresh, or
- C-a strictly dried arrangement.
The judges will be looking for: overall beauty, composition, creativity & originality, use of native elements, combination of most varieties, and a separate judging category has been created for participants under sixteen. Prizes and awards will be given by the judges and we encourage the fair attendees to come and view these gorgeous bouquets so they can cast their vote for the “People’s Choice Award”.
The wildflower exhibit is being held in “The Little Red School House” at Minor Park, Anza.
Bring your arrangements in between 9:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. You need to check in and register and be prepared to explain what materials you used to create your arrangement. Please only one entry per participant. Judging begins at 10:00 A.M. and no further entries will be accepted after judging begins. Winners will be announced at 12 noon.
